By Saint Jean de Maurienne: Motorway A43 Chambéry - Turin, exit n°27 Saint Jean de Maurienne. In Saint Jean de Maurienne (last petrol station), follow the direction "Vallée de l'Arvan - Col de la Croix de Fer" by the RD 926 (22 kilometres). The Glandon and Croix de Fer passes are generally closed from the end of November until mid-May.
