Scattered around the stunning examples of Georgian terraced housing that lines the streets of pretty little garden squares are several internationally renowned university campuses: meaning that you are never far from a cheap eat! As you might expect, there are a lot of fantastic little antique, second-hand and speciality bookshops (one is particularly famous as the site of a well-known British comedy called 'Black Books'). Tottenham Court Road offers a bit of night-life and many places to eat and the vibrant Camden Town area is but a short hop away whilst Oxford Street with its hustle and bustle and major attractions is less than a 15 minute walk. Bloomsbury's main pull, however, has to be the British Museum one of the world's largest repositories of Egyptian, Greek, Chinese and Middle Eastern artefacts; including, of course, the prized Rosetta Stone itself.
